Nasdaq’s Global Operations Support team is now looking for an Application Engineer to join Nasdaq in the Stockholm office. Located in the renovated former Ford assembly plant in Frihamnen, in the spacious and open plan factory-style campus houses 700 of Nasdaq’s IT talent across many areas such as engineering, architects, development, infrastructures and testers.

About the team, role and responsibilities

Genium INET is a complex system with very high quality and uptime requirements and we are committed to maintaining Nasdaq’s leading position in the financial technology industry. As part of the Global Operations Support team you will be responsible for testing, implementing and operating several of the fastest and largest Genium INET trading and clearing solutions across the world in markets such as the U.S, Germany, England and the Nordics.

  • - Ensure contractually agreed uptime on customers trading and clearing systems.
  • - Key role in resolving incidents.
  • - In order to solve issues, you will collaborate closely with other internal teams (e.g. development, project management, system management teams) on a global scale.
  • - The team provides support 24 hours 7 days a week, and as part of the second line support you will be on call on a rotating schedule.
  • - Furthermore, you will be involved in internal projects, configuring, installing, maintaining and upgrading the trading and clearing systems as well as plan and execute failover- and performance testing.


Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications

  • - Education Required: A Bachelor degree in computer science OR adequate experience in IT.
  • - Experience from working with financial systems or transaction based systems.
  • - Experience of application management of complex systems including analyzing, troubleshooting and solving issues in large and complex IT environments.
  • - Knowledge in technologies ranging from infrastructure to functionality, including Linux, Windows, SQL database, Java and Perl.
  • - Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and written.
